Goldenrod Hills Community Action’s HEAD START EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM is looking for a TEACHER for their nine month per year program in the Siouxland Family Center in Dakota City, NE. 40 hours per week M-F. Hourly wage plus benefits. Qualifications include one of the following:

  • An associate, baccalaureate, or advance degree in early childhood education,

  • An associate, baccalaureate, or advance degree in a field related to early childhood education with experience in teaching preschool children,

  • A Child Development Associate credential working toward a degree in early childhood education.

Responsible to understand, plan and implement developmentally appropriate environment and activities for preschool age children. Goldenrod Hills Community Action’s WIC PROGRAM in Wisner is looking for a RN.  32 hours per week,  M-Th, with some varied hours.  Hourly wage plus benefits. Must have Registered Nurse credentials from an accredited school and current Nebraska RN License.  Bilingual skills a plus, but not required. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

RN must have Registered Nurse credential from an accredited school and current Nebraska RN License.  

JOB SUMMARY

The WIC RN is responsible for nutrition education and assisting with medical screenings.  Travel to assigned WIC clinics and assist with setting up of clinic equipment.  Responsible for providing nutrition education along with follow up on diet/health assessment, discuss with participant ways to improve diet if necessary, set goals with participant including social, medical and nutritional, assign food packages.  The WIC RN will also assist with medical assessment and growth grid, hemoglobin checks and breastfeeding education and support. Maintain confidentiality of all participant information.

Education and experience requires a level of knowledge normally acquired through specialized training beyond high school, such as a vocational, technical, business course lasting up to 1 year.  Up to and including 6 months Human Service or other relevant experience preferred.  Duties include recruitment of children and families into the Head Start Program.  Manage health services for enrolled children,  facilitate  parent involvement and ensure parent education for families. Bilingual staff must be able to appropriately translate and interpret verbal and written communication. JOB SUMMARY:

The Family Service Worker is responsible for recruitment of children and families into the Head Start Program.  Management of health services for enrolled children.  Utilizing the Family Partnership Agreement Process to support and assist enrolled Head Start families.  Collaborating with community resources on behalf of the GHCA Head Start program, all enrolled children and their families.  Bilingual staff (English/Spanish) must be able to appropriately translate and interpret verbal and written communication.  40 hours per week in a 10 month per year program.
