Norfolk Head Start has four classrooms with 19 children in each room. We
serve 76 families. Each class has three education staff members and
bilingual staff members available. Three morning classes and one
afternoon class are in session four hours a day, Monday through Friday.
We have one full-year classroom that runs 12 months. The other three
classrooms are in session September through May. Preschool services are
free to families that qualify based on their income. In addition to the
four classrooms, Norfolk has three family service workers who are
available to work with parents and make referrals as needed.
The Norfolk Head Start is also the site of the Goldenrod Hills Head Start Training Classroom, which offers training to all new Head Start employees. New employees are able to spend time in the Norfolk center to receive the required training before beginning any new position within the Head Start programs.
