Did You Know:
Weatherization measures cannot be performed when a family has a leaking roof or crumbling foundation; the Weatherization Program's main funding source will not allow it. Therefore, families needing repairs may be served by the Weatherization Expansion Project so they can receive weatherization services.

List of Locations:
Goldenrod Hills Community Action serves a fourteen county area. Counties served are: Antelope, Burt, Cedar, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Dodge, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, Thurston, Washington and Wayne.

The Weatherization Expansion Project will be limited to population areas below 10,000 within the 14 county service area.
 

Eligibility & Application:

  • Applicants must have very low or low incomes. Very low is defined as 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI) and low income is 50-80 percent of the AMI.
  • Person must have owned the property for at least 1 year.
  • The home must be located in a rural area, town or city of less than 10,000 people.
  • Unit cannot be converted into rental property.
  • Property cannot be located in wetlands or 100 year flood plain.
  • Clients are responsible for 30% or total rehabilitation cost (excluding Weatherization costs if applicable).
