The Wayne office provides FEMA services (rent and utility vouchers), Tax Counseling, Food pantry, Child Car Seat Program, Case Management, Homeless/Preventative Homeless Program, and Family Development Case Management.

The Wayne Family Services staff refers many clients to Wayne’s large Coat Closet program. The program has a large selection of coats in all sizes free of charge available to low-income clients.

A message from the Center:

Goldenrod Hills Wayne Head Start is a center, which serves 17 children, ages 3-4. Our program provides an opportunity for children and their families to learn and grow together in a safe and healthy environment. Head Start provides literacy education to families and their children promoting school readiness as well as family partnerships and guiding with health services. All staff have received quality training to help educate with the growing changes in our curriculum to meet today's educational standards. Head start offers breakfast, lunch and snack. Nutrition, mealtime manners, and learning self-help skills are a vital part of the educational curriculum. Wayne center is unique with our community support from Wayne State College, schools, and local businesses.
